Here it is. My next costume music video. This one features Puff the Magic dragon as he embarks on his winter adveture into the snow. The song used was “Winter Wonderland” by Selena Gomez. There was one minor problem; there is a red flash in the beginning, but other than that the video should be fine (I tried to edit this out, but it would have been making a minor issue a larger one, so I decided not too). This is a video montage made in respects to the original 1865 novel of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll up to the recent 2010 Tim Burton movie and all the TV show renditions, video games, costumes, makeup tutorials, merchandise and fan art made in between. All content was found off YouTube, through Google search or DeviantArt. I do not claim to be the creator of all of these artistic works, both musical, digital and hand-drawn. This video showcases “convergence culture” showcasing how the first book of literate nonsense was able to stay alive in our culture for nearly 145 years now through many different forms and takes. I originally made this as a final project for my Literature & Film class on the topic of convergence media culture, but it was also made with the purpose of sharing with the YouTube community. In this video I search around my house and point out various Alice in Wonderland objects. I didn’t list all of them and I tried to only list things that were actually advertised as “Alice in Wonderland” and not just things inspired by or things that remind me of it. I realize I’m a bit sleepy looking. I had just woken up when I decided to make the video (I generally don’t use a base/concealer/foundation so if I have tired eyes, it shows). I’m a mess… My apron strap is twisted and my petticoat kept slipping downward. Hopefully you’ll be forgiving of said things. I’m getting a costume tomorrow because I have a off coupon that expires tomorrow. I don’t know what to be. I’m 13 and I can’t have something that’s showy. I’m thinking of being the mad hatter and wearing leggings underneath and my friend might be Alice in Wonderland. But if she’s not I need some other possibilities of what to be.
I want some thing cute but not slutty. I’m 16. 5’10, fat but definitely not slim. I wanted to go for a mad hatter look but all of them are SO slutty it is ridiculous. I’d be up for making it but im not sure how.
