100 Years in Wonderland

This is a video montage made in respects to the original 1865 novel of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll up to the recent 2010 Tim Burton movie and all the TV show renditions, video games, costumes, makeup tutorials, merchandise and fan art made in between. All content was found off YouTube, through Google search or DeviantArt. I do not claim to be the creator of all of these artistic works, both musical, digital and hand-drawn. This video showcases “convergence culture” showcasing how the first book of literate nonsense was able to stay alive in our culture for nearly 145 years now through many different forms and takes. I originally made this as a final project for my Literature & Film class on the topic of convergence media culture, but it was also made with the purpose of sharing with the YouTube community. Audivila Films only arranged and gathered all the content and edited – but 99% of the rest was made by a vast group of musicians, cartoonists, video game designers, makeup gurus, costume designers, novelists, illustrators, graphic designers, fashion designers, imagineers, architects and engineers, ride designers, painters, roleplayers and larp-ers, filmmakers, musicians, actors and editors. The list goes on! I only have one piece of artwork in there created by me. The rest is from the rest of the world! And I thank you all dearly!! MUSIC used is actually from the animated movie, Anastasia (I know it’s weird if you know Anastasia, but I have little music and it

So we went to walmart a little before 12 midnight to wait for the dvd release of Alice in Wonderland. I went in in my mad hatter costume that I made. We were like the only ones there, but it was still fun and I was so excited. Walmart workers in the store were coming over and looking at my costume. =] It was very fun. I made this costume myself. =] Thank you to my best friend Miranda for filming it, and thank you to Emily for driving me there and back home. xD
