for Halloween, my friends and I all are being a group of the characters from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (2010). We figured no one else would have this because halloween is 2009 movie is 2010. There were pictures released so we know how to do the costumes. We all want GIRL VERSIONS. We are having a hard time figuring out hot to do the Mad Hatter. We saw the girl Hatter costumes but they are nothing like what we need. we need something like the picture on the website i left.. any help on where to buy the stuff and how to dress it?
It’s on Mad Hatter’s hat, from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I’m dressing as him; I have the whole costume planned out, but the problem is: I get very into my characters, and I can’t seem to find what ‘In this style’ means. I believe I read somewhere that ’10/6′ is the price tag, but what’s ‘In this style’ mean? Is it a store name?
Aren’t you so excited for Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ next March?
Ok. Im a guitarist/singer/songwriter and while the latter two are still coming along as far as blossoming into something truly great, I can RIP hard on the guitar. Im a music student at Berklee College of Music, and im putting together this project (not for school, for fun). I have always enjoyed street performing, but i could never really let myself go. So i have decided to adopt a performance persona. My "name" is "The man in the Hat" a throwback to my high school days when that was my nickname due to the brown Fedora i wore practically everywhere. Anyway to cut to the chase, im worried my persona will become associated with tim Burton’s Mad Hatter.
You see, I am a little crazy. And i realize that everyone is a little crazy, but im an actual eccentric. As in the noun. I used to be ashamed of my differences and the uniqueness(or strangeness as others may put it) of my particular world view. Something about that quote from alice in wonderland "Am I mad? Yes Your absolutely Bonkers, but ill tell you a secret, all the best people are." made me realize what a fool i was being. (I know fairly silly, but its true. that scene really did seem to make me feel more comfortable with myself.) So this time I was thinking of wearing a Top Hat. Not one that looks anything like the Tim Burton Mad Hatters, but a top hat none the less. Sort of like a secret nod to my inspiration to let my own personal strangeness free without fear.
I also plan on painting my face with an optical illusion to make my features seem off. And putting that spray stuff in my hair to make it Blue (or green maybe) as well as designing a WILD costume to wear with it. Again being very careful not to stray into Tim Burtons Character. Sort of like a Crazy, psychedelic, ringmaster if you will. Part clown, part musician, part comedian, all entertainer.
My primary question is, will it be to close to the mad hatter if I wear a top hat, regardless of the style? Will I be able to keep myself from being overly identified with the mad hatter? what do you think in general?

so me and my friends are going to opening day to see Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (i know i have some time to worry about this but i thought i’d get it out of the way) , and we decided to dress up for fun. I’ve looked online for an alice dress but i cant find one that’s not ridiculously short or one that doesn’t practically sweep the floor ha. I’m only 16 so i just want a cute dress that doesn’t look frumpy or slutty. any help would be awesome.
On March 5th, I’m going with my friend to the premiere of Alice and Wonderland. She told me she was dressing up as the Red Queen; I should dress up too. She made her costume but I’m not that creative so I was going to get one at a costume store. First, which character should I be? And 2, where should I get it? I already looked at party city for an Alice costume but they didn’t ahve a good one that matched Tim Burton’s Alice. If anything, I will get the old Alice and Wonderland’s dress. Can anyone help me make a costume?
Okay i want to be alice in wonderland kindaa emoo like tim burton style?…

Ok so for the premier of Alice in Wonderland, my friends and I are all dressing as the characters. We arn’t necesarrily dressing as they are in Tim Burton’s movies, but we do want people to recognize which characters we are.
I drew the Mad Hatter. Im a girl, but I want to still manage to look cute if at all possible. Any tips, tricks, ideas? I am wanting the traditional black and green colors. I have a green top hat but that’s about it so far. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance
Im going to a party as alice from alice in wonderland and I am really struggling to fund a costume.I don’t mind whether it is from the old classic film or tim Burton’s version which was released this year i just really need help :S
